www.rubiksrevolution.com (the “Site”) is owned and operated by Techno Source. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of your information by us in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, then do not use the Site.

I. Changes to the Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to change the terms of this Privacy Policy. Since any changes will be posted on this page, we encourage you to check this page regularly.  Your continued use of the Site following any changes to this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such changes

II. The Information We Collect. We may collect "personally identifiable information" from you such as your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.  We will collect personally identifiable information from you when you actively give us the information such as when you register to become a member or otherwise communicate with the Site.  For some activities, such as online polls or surveys, we may ask visitors to provide information that is not personally identifiable. This might include first name only, city or state of residence, age, or gender. For some other activities, such as entering sweepstakes and subscribing to our e-mail newsletters, we may ask visitors to provide a first and last name and e-mail address. For other activities, such as sending an electronic postcard or e-mail to a friend, we may also ask for personal information about other people. This is usually limited to a first name and e-mail address. E-mail addresses collected to send an electronic postcard or e-mail to a friend are deleted immediately when the requested postcard or e-mail is transmitted.

We may also collect demographic information that you provide to use, such as your zip  code.  We use your demographic information to tailor the Site to you and for internal purposes.

We may collect “non-personally identifiable information” such as your type of computer operating system (e.g., Windows 2000 or Mac OS) and browser (e.g., Netscape, Internet Explorer) being used, your IP address, your browsing patterns and the domain name of the Internet service provider (e.g., America Online, Earthlink).  We collect such non-personally identifiable information from you by ‘passive means”, often through the use of cookies.  In addition, on occasion the Site may also set a “session cookie” to help us administer the Site.  A session cookie expires when you close your browser, and does not retain any information about you after it expires.

III. How We Use the Information.  We will use your personally identifiable information for customer service, to provide you with information that you may request, and to customize your experience on the Site.  Your personal information is used by us to send you email newsletters, to provide you with information that you may request, to send an email to a friend at your request, to enter you into a sweepstakes, to tailor offerings to you and to send you information about membership benefits.

We may use third party contractors to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending you a sweepstakes prize, and may share your information with these contractors for those limited purposes. In these cases, we require the third party contractor to keep the information confidential and to use it only for the specific services they are performing for us.  We sometimes use non-personally identifiable information that we collect to improve the design and content of our site, and to improve and tailor our visitors' experience on Site. We also may aggregate this information and share such aggregated information with third parties to analyze site usage, to illustrate trends and patterns and to offer products, programs, or services.

We may disclose personally identifiable information in response to legal process, for example, in response to a court order or a subpoena. We also may disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency's request, or where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, to protect the interests or safety of Techno Source or other visitors to the Site, violations of our terms of use, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing our web site and applicable laws, or as otherwise required by law. In addition, we may transfer personally identifiable information about you if Techno Source or one of our business units are acquired by, sold to, or merges with another company or declares bankruptcy as a result of the transfer of assets.

IV. Links.
The Site may contain links to other sites, including, among others, those of advertisers, other third parties and companies whose trademarks may appear on the Site.  We are not responsible for the information collection practices or the content of the sites to which we link.

V. Cookies and Web Beacons.
The Site uses a software technology called "cookies." Cookies are small text files that we place in visitors' computer browsers to store their preferences. Cookies themselves do not contain any personally identifiable information. Although cookies could enable us to relate a visitor's use of this web site to personal information that the visitor has provided, such as an e-mail address, we do not use cookies for this purpose with one exception: for some activities, we use session cookies to assist our compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. We do use cookies to determine how many visitors we have and how often they visit various sections of our site.

"Web beacons" are small pieces of code placed on a web page to monitor the behavior and collect data about the visitors viewing a web page. For example, web beacons can be used to count the users who visit a web page or to deliver a cookie to the browser of a visitor viewing that page. We may use web beacons on this Site from time to time for this and other internal purposes, such as evaluating site metrics and performance.

VI. Security.
Protecting your information is important to us.  We use the industry standard technology to protect the security of your information.  Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  As a result, while we are committed to protecting your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us.

VII. Children’s Privacy Policy (Applicable to Children Under 13 Years of Age).  We collect e-mail addresses from children under 13 years old when the child provides his or her email address in connection with a specific one-time request.  We use these email addresses only in connection with the specific one-time request. For example, for sweepstakes and contests, we collect e-mail addresses of children under 13 for the purpose of entering the online sweepstakes or contest on a one-time basis.  We use the email addresses to notify winners of the sweepstakes or contest once by e-mail. Winners will be required to return a completed prize acceptance form contained in the notification e-mail by facsimile or U.S. mail within a designated time period (along with the signature of a parent or legal guardian for all minors).  We also collect email addresses if a child wants to send an email to his or her friend.  We use the personal information to fulfill the one-time request, and once the request is fulfilled (i.e., the sweepstakes or contest is over or we send the email), we delete the child’s email address and do not store the email address in our records.

If your child wishes to register to become a member of the Site, we first obtain the consent of the parent/legal guardian before collecting any personally identifiable information from the child.  We seek such consent by asking the child for his or her parent/legal guardian’s email address.  We then send a direct notice by email to the parent/legal guardian and ask the parent/legal guardian to provide consent to the collection and use of his/her child’s personal information.  If the parent provides such consent via email, after a reasonable time delay, we then send another email to the parent/legal guardian to confirm the consent.  Once we have obtained the confirmed consent, we will collect the child’s name, email address and mailing address when the child actively gives us this information.  We use this information to send emails to the child regarding product updates and event information. We also maintain this information for internal and recordkeeping purposes only.

We are prohibited from conditioning the child’s participation in an activity on the child’s disclosing more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in such activity.

We may use third party contractors to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as administering the sweepstakes or operating the Site, and may share the child’s information with these contractors for those limited purposes. In these cases, we require the third party contractor to keep the information secure and confidential and to use it only for the specific services they are performing for us.

In addition, we may transfer personally identifiable information about the child if Techno Source or one of our business units are acquired by, sold to, or merges with another company or declares bankruptcy as a result of the transfer of assets.

Parents and legal guardians may review and have deleted your child’s personal information and refuse to permit further collection or use of the child’s information at any time.  Please send a letter or postcard to the Techno Source Privacy Manager at the email or mailing address provided below if you would like to review, delete or refuse to permit further collection or use of your child’s information.  Please be sure to include your e-mail address and a telephone number where we can reach you. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting you access to the personal information that we collect and maintain about your child.
